Before you start

What to have ready outside zrsPOS, as a checklist on its own page: it saves no setting, and you can read it again at any time. Each point says To do, Done or Needs attention, and opens the page where it is checked.

zrsPOS checks the points it can (SAGE answering, the key, the séries, the barcodes). The two only you can know (that your SAGE partner has their page, that your accountant knows) you mark yourself with Mark “…” as done; that works on a read-only plan too.

Your SAGE partner's page

Most of this list is work for whoever looks after your SAGE: publishing the SmartAPI, issuing the key, creating séries. The app has a ready page for them, with exactly what to do and an e-mail you can send in one click. The same text is in the partner brief. Mark it done once it is sent.

SAGE on the internet

Your SAGE runs on your own network; zrsPOS runs in the cloud. SAGE's SmartAPI must be published on a fixed public https address, for example https://sage.yourcompany.pt:5581. Your SAGE partner or network provider usually does this: see Publishing the SmartAPI. There is no address to allow in your firewall: the SmartAPI just has to answer on the internet, protected by its key and https. A plain http address works but is flagged: it is not encrypted.

An access key for zrsPOS

The key (x-api-key) comes from your SAGE partner. You type it on the SAGE connection page, which tests it before it saves it.

Séries registered with the AT

Every store that sells needs its own série in SAGE, registered with the AT (Autoridade Tributária) for the sales documents and for credit notes. The API cannot create or register a série, so this is done in SAGE, once per store, by you or your partner: see Registering a série with the AT. The Stores pages read the AT code back and say if one is missing.

The same barcodes in SAGE

zrsPOS finds each sale line's SAGE item by the barcode of the Shopify variant. You are responsible for having the same products, with the same barcodes, in Shopify and in SAGE: zrsPOS does not create or change your products. The barcode check shows how many match, lists those that don't, and exports the list. A sale with a missing barcode waits in Documents until it is fixed; nothing is lost.

Your accountant knows

From the day you go live, zrsPOS issues your POS sales as certified documents in your SAGE. Tell your accountant, so they expect them there. Mark it done once they know.
