zrsPOSzrsPOS manual
zrsPOS turns every sale on your Shopify POS into a certified Portuguese fiscal document in your own SAGE, and prints the receipt in the store. Returns become credit notes. zrsPOS does not invoice by itself: SAGE is the certified issuer; zrsPOS orchestrates.
This manual mirrors the app's setup. Read it in order the first time; afterwards use the sidebar to jump to the part you need.
What you need
- A Shopify store with Shopify POS and at least one store (location).
- Sage 50c with the SmartAPI reachable over the internet (https), and an API key from your Sage partner. Send them the brief to get both.
- The same barcodes on your Shopify products and your Sage items. zrsPOS matches each sale line to a Sage item by barcode only, and does not create or change your products. Before you start shows how well they match.
- A série registered with the AT in Sage for each store that sells.
- A receipt printer per store (Epson TM series recommended), unless you print from Sage.
- About 20 minutes once your Sage is reachable from the internet. You can stop and resume at any point.

Only zrsPOS is required. The print app and the PrintBox are ways to connect a printer; zrsTaxFree is needed only if you sell Tax Free.
The setup
One setup, on Home until you go live (afterwards under Settings › Setup steps):
- Before you start: what to have ready outside zrsPOS, with the page for your SAGE partner.
- SAGE connection: address and key, tested live; your company and NIF read from SAGE.
- Stores: which Shopify locations sell at a till, and how each one invoices.
- SAGE items: the items for custom sales, refunds and shipping, found or created in your SAGE, and the barcode check.
- Payments: which SAGE payment method each Shopify payment method becomes.
- Printing & delivery: who prints, the printers and delivery.
- Go live: what still blocks, the plan, a test document read back from SAGE, the switch day and Go live.
Each part shows one state: Not started, Needs attention or Working. What Working means explains the rule for each.
Optional pages: Tax Free, Salespeople, Document design and Online returns and exchanges. Your plan has its own page.
When SAGE cannot do something through its API, zrsPOS gives you a guided task: Registering a série with the AT, Repairing a numbering chain and Publishing the SmartAPI.
Until you press Go live, zrsPOS ignores your POS sales. Configure and test freely.
