The Setup guide
The Setup guide is on the app's Home and under Setup. It lists all nine steps (plus the optional Tax Free step) with their status, highlights the next one and opens each step's page. Steps are real pages that stay reachable forever: to change something later, open the guide and pick the step.
Each step page has the same layout: the breadcrumb goes back to the guide, the page's own action (Save, Save and test, Add printer, Go live) sits top right, and a footer card says where the step stands and points to the next one.
Order and dependencies
The steps are in the order of their dependencies, so working straight down the list always works.
- Step 2, the SAGE connection, comes before everything that reads your SAGE — that is steps 3, 4 and 5. Your legal name, NIF and registered address live in SAGE, so step 3 fills its read-only half in and ticks itself off once step 2 succeeds.
- Step 4 needs one row per store. Every Shopify location you sell from must have its own série, warehouse and document types. There is no shop-wide fallback: a location without its own settings cannot invoice, on purpose, because a store invoicing on another store's série is a mistake no one would ever notice.
- Steps 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 are required to go live. Steps 3, 5 and 8 have sensible defaults.
- Step 9 checks readiness for you and refuses to go live until the required steps are done, naming any location that still has no settings.
Language
The app follows the language of the Shopify staff member using it (Portuguese or English). Documents have their own language, set in step 3.
