The Tax Free VAT-exempt group is missing

What you see

In the admin under Settings › Tax Free, on the SAGE codes row, and as a card on Home. Title: “The Tax Free VAT-exempt group is missing”. Code: ZP-TAXFREE-GROUP-GRANDFATHERED.

What happened

Your shop was already issuing documents when zrsPOS started checking the SAGE codes for Tax Free, and no VAT-exempt group is chosen. So your Tax Free sales keep being issued exactly as until now, with each item’s own VAT group. Until the exempt group is chosen, the shop cannot go live again after a pause.

What to do

1. Open Settings › Tax Free › SAGE codes for Tax Free in the admin.
2. Choose the VAT-exempt group (zrsPOS lists only the groups your SAGE accepts as exempt).
3. Save. From then on the goods of a Tax Free sale go into that group.

Can zrsPOS do it for you?

No: which exemption applies is your accountant’s call. If your SAGE has no exempt group, your SAGE partner creates one.
