Tax code not accepted
What you see
In the admin under Documents, as a card on Home, and on the Tax Free tile of the POS or in the zrsTaxFree app. Title: “Tax code not accepted”. It usually appears on a Tax Free sale; SAGE says “O código do imposto 'NS' utilizado no documento não é válido”.
What happened
The VAT-exempt group chosen in Settings › Tax Free resolves, inside your SAGE company, to a tax code and exemption reason that SAGE will not accept on a certified document. The group’s name can look right (“Isento Taxfree”) while the rule behind it is not.
What to do
- In SAGE open Tabelas › Impostos › Grupos de IVA and the exemption group used for Tax Free.
- See which line of the tax table the group uses. SAGE only accepts the tax code that its exemption-reason table links to that reason (for example, reason M05 accepts ISE in some companies and NS in others).
- Point the group at an accepted line — for example ISE / M05 (Isento Artigo 14.º do CIVA) — or ask your SAGE partner to do it.
- Check the deposit (caução) item has its own group pointing at the same rule.
- Press Try again on the document.
Can zrsPOS do it for you?
Not today: zrsPOS spots the problem, but the fix is made in SAGE (or by picking another group in Settings › Tax Free). Proposing a new group that SAGE accepts, and creating it once you confirm, is planned. Once the cause is fixed, the Try again button issues the document. zrsPOS does not retry it by itself: it tried twice, right after the sale.
Still stuck?
Write to support@zrspos.com and quote the code ZP-TAX-CODE-INVALID and the order number. The code is shown on the alert, in the admin and on the POS.
