The SAGE codes for Tax Free are missing
What you see
In the admin under Documents, as a card on Home, and on the Tax Free tile of the POS or in the zrsTaxFree app. Title: “The SAGE codes for Tax Free are missing”.
What happened
The sale (or its return) is Tax Free and one of the SAGE codes for Tax Free is missing: the deposit (caução) item, the VAT-exempt group, or the VAT rate of the store’s VAT zone (the mainland, Madeira or the Azores). zrsPOS never assumes 23 %: without them it does not know how to split the price into exempt goods and the deposit.
What to do
- Open Settings › Tax Free › SAGE codes for Tax Free in the admin.
- Pick the deposit item (a non-stock 0 % item), or create “Caução Tax Free” in SAGE (zrsPOS asks for your confirmation before writing to SAGE and reads it back).
- Choose the VAT-exempt group, and type the VAT rate for each zone your stores are in.
- Go back to the document and press Try again.
Can zrsPOS do it for you?
Yes. zrsPOS looks for a suitable item in SAGE and, if there is none, proposes creating one; it writes only after you confirm and reads the result back. Once the cause is fixed, the Try again button issues the document. zrsPOS does not retry it by itself: it tried twice, right after the sale.
Still stuck?
Write to support@zrspos.com and quote the code ZP-TAXFREE-UNCONFIGURED and the order number. The code is shown on the alert, in the admin and on the POS.
