The store’s VAT zone is not known yet

What you see

In the admin under Documents, as a card on Home, and on the POS order screen. Title: “The store’s VAT zone is not known yet”. Code: ZP-TAXFREE-ZONE-UNKNOWN.

What happened

The sale (or its return) is Tax Free, and zrsPOS has not read the store’s Shopify address yet. A store is in Madeira or the Azores by its time zone or by its address, and the Tax Free VAT rates of the zones differ. zrsPOS never guesses the rate, so the document waits.

What to do

  1. Open the zrsPOS admin: it reads your stores’ Shopify addresses.
  2. Check the store’s address in Shopify (its province) and, for an island store, its time zone in zrsPOS.
  3. Go back to the document and press Try again.

Can zrsPOS do it for you?

Yes, mostly. zrsPOS retries by itself, and the document issues as soon as the store’s address has been read.
